Portion 118 of the Farm 489, Zwarte Jongersfontein is located along Daytona Way, approximately 600 m west of Groot Jongensfontein, Hessequa Municipality, Western Cape. Approximate area: 38.48 ha. Approximate central coordinates: 34°25'0.07"S; 21°21'25.88"E.
Building 3 (104.328 m²) was constructed on the property in May 2011 without the required Environmental Authorisation. DEA&DP (Ref: 16/3/3/6/1/D5/8/0406/25) has confirmed this constitutes an unlawful commencement of a listed activity in terms of Section 24(2)(b) of NEMA. The landowner also proposes to expand Building 3 by approximately 132 m². Environmental authorisation is required for the following NEMA EIA activities:
LN1 (GN R.983 of 2014): Activity 17, 19A – unlawful construction of Building 3 (2011).
LN3 (GN R.985 of 2014): Activity 54 – proposed expansion of Building 3 (±132 m²).
